Everyone proving OPs point that this entire discourse is just a semantics game, and a misunderstanding of how is particular word is used. Sexual desire and objectification are two different things that are also prima facie morally distinct. And people are arguing about where the word “lust” falls on that continuum, and when there is a discrepancy in understanding of that word, that’s when phrases like “purity culture” get thrown around. This is because people are making assumptions that different understandings of the MEANING of a word necessarily implies their moral standpoint in relation to that word. When no, I think most people agree that objectification is wrong and sexual desire is normal. And that’s where consent comes into the picture :) There is a literacy crisis on the internet.

The definition of lust is just a strong sexual desire for someone, yall are coming up with yall own definitions for no reason but to demonize sexuality. If there’s no intimacy in the bedroom then there’s no relationship, yall are just platonic friends, which is what kinda ended my last relationship.
