We never shared this video. Not because it didn’t matter… but because we lost the baby. A while ago I was thinking about how it’s so funny that because this baby didn’t make it, and I never got to see my belly grow, we pretended like this video didn’t exist. But it did. And it was one of my most favorite memories! And it’s a shame that we have to hide things like this because it didn’t all turn out perfectly. Our lives might not be exactly how we envisioned they would be. I thought I’d be fully pregnant right now, but God is blessing us with experience instead. We got to be reminded of suffering and that that is a gift because it makes the sweet so much sweeter. And now that a little time has passed and the sting is gone, we can look at this video- not in sadness of what might have been but with gratitude and celebration! Grateful God loves us enough to give us hard things that build our character rather than just making us puppets. Gratitude for the kids we do have. Gratitude that my body was able to house a little spirit for but a small moment. A truly sacred duty. Grateful for the reminder of my belief that there was a spirit no matter how big or small. So celebrate this little one with us! Celebrate the gift of life! The gift we have to bare children and the absolute miracle they are at any stage! Please don’t feel bad for us, we truly are so happy with where we are at and love celebrating this video and the good fun things this short pregnancy brought us. We’re grateful that we can celebrate that there was a life inside of me! I’ve always felt like I wanted to do more to stand up for the babies who can’t speak up for themselves, and that probably starts with me not ignoring and pretending like this baby didn’t matter because they never fully developed, but celebrating the fact that they did! 🥳🎉 So here is to honoring a life that existed, a love that was real, and a season we will always hold close. 🎉💕 #husband #wife #couplegoals #marriage #fyp
