@novainfra7: This diagram provides an exploded view of a Double Overhead Camshaft (DOHC) cylinder head assembly, which controls the airflow into and out of an engine's cylinders.1. Enclosure & SealingValve Cover: The top protective cap that seals the cylinder head assembly, keeping oil inside and dirt out. It contains the oil fill cap.Valve Cover Gasket: A rubber or silicone seal that sits between the valve cover and the cylinder head to prevent engine oil from leaking.2. Valvetrain Control (Camshafts)Camshaft Bearing Caps: Bolt down over the camshafts to secure them in place against the cylinder head while allowing them to spin smoothly.Intake Camshaft: Driven by the timing belt or chain, its lobes open the intake valves at the exact right moment to let air and fuel into the engine.Exhaust Camshaft: Its lobes open the exhaust valves to allow spent exhaust gases to escape the cylinders.3. Actuation ComponentsValve Lifters (Tappets): Cylindrical parts that sit over the valves or rocker arms, transferring the mechanical pushing force from the spinning camshaft lobes downward.Rocker Arms: Pivoting levers that transmit the camshaft's lifting motion directly to the valve stems, forcing them to open.4. Valve ComponentsValve Springs: Heavy-duty springs that quickly push the valves back up into their closed, sealed positions when the camshaft lobes rotate away.Valve Spring Retainers & Keepers (Collets): Tiny, locking metal clips (keepers) and a washer-like top (retainer) that lock the valve spring securely to the top of the valve stem.Intake & Exhaust Valves: The physical doors to the combustion chamber. Intake valves (usually larger) let the fresh air-fuel mixture in, while exhaust valves let burned gases out.
