I’m gonna say something that’s going to upset a lot of people, and I know this, but I feel it’s most important for it to be said: those men who take issue with these kinds of the things are not built for the women that they go after. Men look for very strong, capable women, and then have the expectation for them to acquiesce to his whims, without establishing the trust and the communication required for such a task. It is not that women do not know how to cooperate. These men are not asking for cooperation. A lot of these men are looking for validation, and they are upset because women are not low lying fruit. They’re very upset that some of our fathers were present in our lives and taught us very well. A good father raises a strong woman, because only a strong man with a good heart and character would be able to handle the relationship required to be with her. Strong men with good character and integrity, never really had complaints. I’m just gonna leave that last sentence there, for people to chew on.

Fathers didn’t teach their daughters not to depend on men, they displayed the model and their mothers told them to be self reliant.

Who is teaching the men to be with a strong woman? I keep hearing about woman changing, women standards, women being to lofty. What about the men!? Where is their growth? Where is their learning?

I learned to not depend on a man because my father was someone u could never depend on....he was selfish...he never took care of the family....never did anything for the family...was always coming up missing for days....he was worthless..out acting like he was single....u guys complain but u don't take accountability.

Nobody has been more proud of my accomplishments than my dad. He also married my mom, a fiercely independent, self sufficient woman, and never tried to cage her. They had a healthy relationship until the day she died.

When I was married and had my son, my husband wouldn't allow me to work. We got divorced I vowed never ever will I depend on another man in life. He was controlling and abusive.

I became independent and self sufficient because of my father while in college. He made multiple broken promises during a time where I was student. His broken promises could have caused me to drop out due to him financially withholding money. I was determined and found a way. Today I hold one undergrad degree and two master degrees. Only because of determination. Oh by the way, my father had the money but chose to spend it on other things. I was not his priority.

girls are raised to be independent - dishes, laundry, cooking, education, hygiene, delegation, teacher, caregiver, & etc boys are raised to be codependent - maybe take out the trash 🗑, the rest they rely on someone to tell or help them. Even 1st time fathers will rely on 1st time mothers to teach them; like they both didn't become parents at the same time!
