If we go with the slightest bit of research and knowledge we are branded neurotic hypochondriacs and spoken to condescendingly as we don’t have a medical degree. Not all drs are like you. Js. Coming from someone who’s ferritin is chronically under 10 and the drs don’t care. Wouldn’t even prescribe iron tablets.

Ferritin of 6 for 10 months been on iron tablets the whole time with no change, hb is 111 which they said is ok (im 7 months pregnant) feel like death with all the side effects

Ferritin is 11, haemoglobin 115 been like this for over a year now feel horrendous. Now on ferrous bisglycinate 40mg as fumerate were horrendous on my gut. Why is it not rising 🤨

My doctor ignored my high ferritin and high tsat. Constantly back and forth with chronic fatigue, stomach issues and severe joint pain, finally a locum doctor sent for a haemochromatosis test which was positive. Now after months of Venesection’s I feel so much better. Moral of the story trust your body and keep on at the GPs

I had super low ferritin levels last year (4) hb was 65 so needed blood and iron. My CRP was 197. I was sooo unwell 😅😂

My GP measures ferritin 15-150, I’m 16 but apparently totally normal and should go take more iron… sorry but where is the actual continuous study and desire to help people, it’s a sad state

my ferritin levels have been creeping up in last 2 years. Last test came back was 1140. iron levels are normal liver scan was normal had a genetics test for hemacreamatosis but im only a carrier. I am still none the wiser as to why this is and docs are now not worrying about it should a I?

Mine is 8. GP gave me iron tablets which made my IBS 100x worse. Said I don’t qualify for Iron Infusion because ferritin isn’t low enough……
