@newsofbahrain_: New LMRA rules change how foreign workers can be temporarily assigned between businesses. Foreign workers in Bahrain can now work for a second employer for up to three months while remaining under their existing work permit. The arrangement requires written consent from the worker, agreement from both employers and approval from the LMRA. New conditions also apply to Bahrainisation rates, fees and legal responsibility for workers’ rights. The rules also allow certain workers to be assigned to other establishments or companies within the same corporate group, subject to specific conditions. #NewsofBahrain #News #Bahrain #NOBDigital

The important conditions
You cannot simply go and start a second job yourself. For work with a different employer:
You must give written consent.
Your current employer must agree.
The second employer must agree.
LMRA must approve it.
The period must be formally registered with LMRA.
The second employer's activity must satisfy the applicable Bahrainisation requirement; if its required ratio is lower, an additional LMRA fee can apply.
Both employers have joint responsibility for your employment rights during that temporary period.
Thanks
