@stormskijournal: Why is Park City pushing back against Vail Resorts' expansion plans? It turns out the friction isn't just about the lifts—it’s about the deeper tension between corporate development and local infrastructure. This breakdown explores the claim that Vail needs to better nurture its mountain community partnerships, highlighting how local opposition has stalled upgrades like the Eagle lift replacement. Is the fear of increased traffic and capacity valid, or are the locals overreacting? #ParkCity #VailResorts #SkiIndustry #SkiTown #MountainLife

Nah this is just bs excuse they just hate Vail as they should. Deer Valley had a massive upgrade and chairlift change nobody is opposing that. Honestly the locals just hate Vail for making PC a sheet hole but blame the previous owners for being morons and not having accountants on staff

I’m sure the people blocking the new lifts don’t even ski. There’s plenty of parking on site for $35 a day or crazy free lots all over town. A bigger eagle lift would be great but we first need a good snow season

This is a bad take. Comparing 2 seats to 40 chairlifts makes it seem like a marginal increase in capacity. When you consider where the capacity is being added, it is no longer "completely ridiculous". Yes, Vail and PC have a contentious relationship but to say locals are blocking this on false logic because of spite is a pretty ridiculous premise
