In no way am I defending him cheating on sylphie, but the same explanation that is given and accepted for the reason why he slept with Roxy can be and is the same explanation as to why he ended up cheating on sylphie. If we can understand that sleeping Roxy was the only possible way to get him out of the emotional state that he was in from watching his father die and his mother completely lose her mind, in the same logic should apply to when he cheats on sylphie. Because if all you can say is, he should’ve let his family help him instead of constantly drinking and pushing them away then the same excuse and explanation should’ve been applied to when he was sleeping with Roxy instead of having Roxy sleep with him to save him from killing himself there should’ve been some heart felt conversation or something of that matter to help him snap back into it. But we excuse it because of the fact of the mental state that he was in, but yet we don’t excuse him cheating with another woman for being in the same mental state mind you if Roxy’s death affects him worse than what happened to his father and mother. What makes you think that any type of conversation or formal communication would help him if the only thing that helped him the last time was sleeping with another woman

Yes I love rudeus character and yes it started with the man god but like 50% of what happened is his fault but at least he recognized what he became and I saw that as a chance for our Rudy to have more self awareness and control in the future even if loses someone he dearly loved….but ofc he’ll never be perfect
