Cristal mints (clear) were always in a bowl at Nana’s apt and always in her pocketbook, as they were Papa’s favorite. Cristal mints and chicklets were such a big part of my childhood memories.

I eat them all the time since I was a child in my country Lebanon 🇱🇧 we call it simsom which means sesame I still get them from Lebanese stores you can also get it from Walmart

I love them! My grandmother used to also give me little black licorice candies wrapped in like a wax paper wrapper that were almost menthol when I was sick, do you know what they are? She said they came from Italy, but I remember getting them at like little candy store sometimes.
