@mimitrucker77: The SCARIEST place to discover you don't understand truck weights is AFTER somebody already gave you the CDL. You're loaded to 80,000 pounds. You hit the scale. And suddenly you're asking Which axle is heavy? Which direction do I slide? How many holes? Should I move the tandems? What about the fifth wheel? This isn't knowledge drivers should be discovering from strangers at their FIRST scale house. It should've been drilled into them during TRAINING. Steers. Drives. Tandems. Weight distribution. Sliding tandems. Fifth-wheel adjustment. Passing a CDL test proves you passed a TEST. Knowing what to do when 80,000 pounds isn't sitting correctly... That's when the REAL education matters.

moving the 5th wheel doesnt move the weight backwards it moves more to the steer and drives. Need to move the arrows

then there's ADVANCED knowledge... you're allowed 12,500 on your steers as long as you're not over gross.

This is not true at all and I learned the hard way. Sliding the tandems or the 5th wheel fluctuates weight across the entire truck.

I dony have this problem. split axles and a stationary 5th wheel. then again im rated at 13200, 34000, and 40000

The only thing I'm going to say about that is I would put more than 12,000 on the steer tires so they'll lay flat you can bump it up to 12500 nobody's going to say nothing
