When the photos for life of a showgirl came out, I said the vibe was that of a middle school/highschool girl discovering boudoir for the first time and doing a DIY shoot on her phone in her bedroom. there's nothing wrong with that mind you, but it's a strange vibe for a 40 year old woman with literally billions of dollars. And the songs came out, and they feel like a middle school/highschool kid who has decided to start cussing for the first time, and has been exposed to the concept of smeexual themes for the first time and now they're cramming the two of them into every other sentence and joke. It feels very regressive, back to the music she used to write years ago, and makes me think she fired her ghost writer or something.

I think what puts it into perspective is Taylor’s song writing and Adele’s. They’re 2 years apart in age, the both write about love and life, Taylor swift sounds like a 12 year old journal entry, Adele sounds like a grown woman.
