ive always had high iron levels and now told im borderline anemic.My ferratin and haemoglobic levels are ok.Im tired all the time and on Warfarin..Also have muscle ache on both calves..Anything i can take..

What’s solution , any test that can show lack of iron in other cells ?? If not why don’t we find one ?

I have been refused iron infusion so many times because of haemoglobin levels being fine. I have Crohns and also had an ileoanal resection, im always tired, no energy, and I know I'm losing my iron somewhere but they just tell me it's fine. So frustrating

what could cause extreme fatigue if everything is in normal range? ferritin, cbc, crp, ths, all vitamins, liver, kidney function etc all ok? I sleep 14 hours a day 😴

I don’t know if you reply on here …. My mum is having so many tests. Hb 66 at lowest and 82 after blood transfusion, platelets 98, neutrophil 1.2. Been told lymphoma but can’t do a lymph node biopsy so don a bone marrow one but no wet sample possible due to compaction. We have no idea what it could be and neither do the drs right now. I’m desperate to help somehow but need to know what way to go …!

I’ve had A&G requests rejected for symptomatic patients with a low ferritin but normal Hb. This is after months of iron supplements. It can be difficult

I waited so long for my iron infusion that my haemoglobin dropped to 57 so then needed blood transfusion as well as iron. I have G.A.V.E but also have lupus. It can be very tough.

I was 6. I was sent to the ER. It dropped to 5.4. I needed a blood transfusion. I need an operation. The anesthesiologist said I need to get to 10/12 for medical clearance. I have 4 weeks. Taking iron and eating protein rich. Fingers crossed.

My daughter had a blood transfusion Christmas 2015 and in 2016 had a late diagnosis of colon cancer, stage 4. Had surgery and then chemo. Died after 7 months from diagnosis.
