child the minute you say that to some of these grandparents they be quick to say 1 or 2 things “fine then ask me to watch them” or “i got grandparent rights”……. HONEY WITHOUT THIS BABY YOU WOULDNT BE A GRANDPARENT HELLO!!!!!!!!!!

my partner has this exact issue with his kid. he lives with his mom during the week and she feeds him garbage and processed foods since he came out the womb. hes super picky now and wont eat or drink anything but quesadillas and kool-aid. on the weekends my partner is pretty strict about eating healthy, home-made meals but god forbid his kid goes to his grandparents house for 20 minutes bc grandma already has him sitting in front of the TV with a big ass bowl of chips.

with my own children, the grandparents do as they choose when they have my children, whether it be discipline, outings and activities, and food.

But it also happens when let’s say that grandparent loses their child. They will treat the oldest grandchild from that child like they treated their own child it’s weird😭

I’m thankful that my parents have always respected my boundaries with my son. They never made me feel bad or questioned me. They still babysat and helped as needed. My mama said she did what she wanted with her kids and I should have the same rights.

Let's be honest it's usually the mother having an issue with the fathers parents. They tend to think because they are the mother then they set all the rules and completely disregard how the father feels.
