I was so close to putting 20k down my dream car that was going to be 87k otd back in 2024 but I never got an allocation. That saved me from making a bad financial decision. I saved that money and still have the ‘22 Honda Civic Sport that gets me through. I realized that the cars aren’t going anywhere bro. It’ll be there when I’m financially ready.

I work in collections and it’s doubled in 3 months the people delinquent. People have to live far from work and housing is too expensive that they can’t keep up

I attempted to buy a cheaper vehicle for 7k (finance) and the dealership inflated my loan to 16k with add ons. All the find out my SWAT I “had” to get was not even activated! I unwinded the deal and got a cash car.

Unfortunately businesses have raised their prices way higher than inflation has increased, while simultaneously keeping wages almost the same, and people just went along with it to where we are now with everything being extremely expensive.

The issue is value. Car prices are overinflated and going from your current car that is high payment to something cheap wont work due to negative equity. A car you want to trade is 10-20k negative. So its either you suffer the 1,000-1,500 payment or go delinquent. No way out of it.

I've been following your account for a good while & I appreciate your data analysis, back with evidence, but also preaching to your customers/audience to be smart with their money - as opposed to just pushing sales for profits.
