@interstellarspac: 🚨On September 28, SpaceX's Starship is set to attempt its first-ever orbital flight. SpaceX is preparing to launch Starship Flight 14 on September 28, 2026, marking its first attempt to send the massive rocket into Earth orbit. Standing approximately 121 meters (400 feet) tall, Starship is the largest and most powerful launch vehicle ever built. ⸻ 🌎 The launch is scheduled for no earlier than 8:15 a.m. EDT (12:15 UTC) from SpaceX’s Starbase facility in South Texas, United States. The 75-minute launch window may shift depending on weather, technical readiness, and other conditions. ⸻ 🛰️ Flight 14 aims to place Starship into orbit and deploy 26 Starlink V3 satellites. The mission is also expected to test the spacecraft’s orbital maneuvering, reentry, and controlled splashdown capabilities. ⸻ 🌕 This milestone is important for SpaceX’s long-term plans to carry people and cargo to the Moon and Mars. Starship is also central to NASA’s Artemis program, which plans to use a modified version of the spacecraft for future crewed lunar landings.
