I’ve learned most of it the hard way. At 63, these are 7 things I wish I’d understood sooner: 1. “This is just aging” is a description, not an explanation. I accepted it for years instead of asking more questions. 2. Rest before your body forces you to. Slowing down is productive too. You don’t have to earn rest by exhausting yourself first. 3. The products weren’t always the whole answer. I spent years looking for the next serum or cream when other parts of my routine needed attention too — nutrition, movement, sleep, and consistency. 4. Collagen comes from your plate, not just a jar. What you eat matters too. I wish I’d paid more attention to protein much earlier. 5. Let go of relationships that consistently leave you drained. History isn’t always a reason to hold on. 6. You don’t owe everyone an explanation for what you’re doing differently. Taking better care of yourself doesn’t require anyone else’s permission. 7. Give yourself permission to start again. At 50. At 60. At 63. At any age. 🤍 The things that changed me most weren’t about doing more.
