It’s always grand to set goals for yourself, but it seems like you’re setting these goals as a Finnish line, rather than another stepping stone. It’s absolutely natural to be greedy, just like how it’s natural to want to work hard and achieve everything you’ve ever wanted, but no matter what the ‘want’ is, there’s always going to be a limit. Not because of weakness or personal failings, but because soup is a multiple item task. It can’t be all of one thing or it’ll come out too overpowering or bland. These unrealistic standards, while yes could have provided you with the skills you have now, aren’t sustainable, and I seriously (as someone who has similar thinking and almost went off the edge because I refused to let myself rest for even a second) reccomend being kinder and firmer with yourself about taking care of your mental health. It’s obvious you’re capable and are very aware of what your doing, but thinking up a negative and then a positive only cancels out the negative, it doesn’t change anything besides leaving you in a middle ground, that while comfortable and familiar, can keep you in a stagnant and difficult place for growth. Growth is selfish and selfish can be good if you let yourself be! I personally say ‘fuck off, I’ll write you down and think about you later’ but it’s different for everyone! Point is that boundaries with yourself is incredibly important! Same for your audience, which by the way, it’s absolutely understandable if you want a break, genuinely, as someone who joined the party late, I’m seriously surprised you haven’t, the internet is a cesspool of constant change, violence and confusion and taking all that on at only 18 sounds like torture. Which holy, sorry for saying it so far down but happy birthday ^^ I don’t know you at all but you still deserve kindness and respect, from both others and yourself. Ciao 👋
