@boxingw0rld: THOMAS HEARNS DESTROYS JAMES SHULER 💥 📅 March 10, 1986 📍 Caesars Palace, Las Vegas Thomas “The Hitman” Hearns needed just 73 seconds to make a statement. Undefeated middleweight contender James “Black Gold” Shuler came in with a 22-0 record, but Hearns’ devastating right hand ended the fight in the opening round. Shuler was dropped hard and counted out at 1:13 of Round 1, as Hearns captured the NABF middleweight title. Tragically, just 10 days later, Shuler died in a motorcycle accident at the age of 26.
