Pick the box marked gold coin. You can draw only one coin, but you can feel both. If both coins feel the same weight, those are the silver coins. If they don’t, those are the 2 different coins. Once you have determined the contents, it it easy to determine the contents of the other 2 boxes, as the labels will tell you what is not in each box.

Picked Box C. Since it has gold, it'll have 2 gold coins. Then box A has 2 silver and box B has silver & gold

All labels are wrong, therefore: Box A = B or C Box B = A or C Box C = A or B Pick a coin from Box A, we are told it is a gold coin, therefore it can't be the 2 silvers (B). We conclude that Box A is actually supposed to be labelled as Box C. We know from the start that Box B was either A or C, but it can't be C since that's Box A, so Box B is actually A. Similarly, Box C was either A or B but we know that Box B is A, so that leaves us with B. Therefore Box A = C, Box B = A, and Box C = B. It's confusing mostly due to labelling, since we kinda have to use "Box A" to mean "The Box labelled A" and "The Box that is ACTUALLY A" simultaneously and it can be hard to keep it straight in your head, it's easy when written down tho.

Pick a box not labelled as ‘two silver’ as you know that doesn’t contain that, you pick out gold so you know other the one labelled as gold has the two silver

its so hard without a visualisation. box A=B/C. B=A/C and C= A/B if you take out from C a silver coin then the box is lying and you got 2 silvers C=B then B cannot be c because its already taken and it cannot be B because its lying B=A and remaining A=C and just opposite for if you take the other coin. im fucking retarded i had the answer and while typing this out i forgot it 3 times
