I’ve seen Patrick Mahommes fake slide on at last over 100 occasions to pick up extra yards and even scored touchdowns on a few of these plays. So the defense has no idea if these guys are really sliding or not on extremely fast pace bang, bang plays. You don’t have that much time to process if the the guy is going to slide or not.

The problem is that qbs will try to run you over if you don’t come like that. Get your ass down. Now the defender should’ve pulled up at the end but the slide was way too late

It wasn't dirty. he had plenty of time to slide. it is not the defender job to guess what the offensive player is thinking about doing. QB Kenny Pickett faked a slide and ran for a touchdown. because everyone pulled up expecting him to slide. Just slide early

How much "sooner" do you want him to slide? Moore started his slide 5 yards before he was hit....It was no where near a "late slide". Steven's loaded up and went shoulder to head with a launch when he knew the QB was defenseless. No "split second" at all....it was as dirty a hit as you'll ever see
