Below is a breakdown of how much I spent on my solo snowboarding trip to Lotte Arai, Japan. ✨Lift Tickets✨ For a day pass, it costs ¥7,000 or $45 USD if you were to buy it online. If you buy it at the window, it will cost your ¥7,500 ($48 USD) If you have the Ikon Pass though, you get 7 days with the full Ikon Pass and 5 days with the Ikon Base Pass. Just FYI, you do have to go to the window to show your Ikon Pass to redeem it for a Lotte Arai ticket ✨Rentals✨ For rentals, I flew all my gear with me from the States to save on time and rentals fees. For people that don’t know, most major airlines consider standard snowboard/ski bag as a regular piece of check-in luggage. It is not considered oversized. ✨Accommodations ($177.04)✨ For my accommodations, I got this insane hotel deal where I got a private room and bathroom along with free breakfast for only $44 a night. Now the hotel isn’t walking distance to the lifts, but there’s a free resort bus that picks you up right in front of the hotel and takes you to Lotte Arai in 25 minutes. ✨Meals ($25/day)✨ Since breakfast was free at the hotel, I only had to worry about lunch and dinner. For lunch, I just bought convenience store food and packed it up to the mountain with me For dinner, places around the hotel were pretty affordable. You can definitely do it on the cheap but some nights I decided to splurge more than others. ✨Transportation ($44 USD or ¥6,890)✨ I was coming from Hakuba Valley and the bus + train cost me around $44 USD. ✨Flights✨ If you’ve been following my series, you would know that I flew into Tokyo from Helsinki on business class for only 75,000 American Airline miles and $19.20 in taxes and fees ✨Total✨ If I were to calculate ONLY the Lotte Arai portion, it cost me around $331 USD to stay and snowboard for 4 days. ✨Breakdown✨ Lift Ticket: $0 Rentals: $0 Accommodations: ¥27,766 or $177.23 (4 nights) Meals: $110 Transportation/Flights: $44 Total: $331.23 #lottearai #snowboardinginjapan #snowboardingtrip #skijapan #araimountainresort
