If you have PCOS and you're trying to conceive, supplements can be confusing. No supplement guarantees pregnancy, but some may support ovulation, insulin sensitivity, nutritional status and reproductive health. Here's what the research suggests 👇 🤍 MYO-INOSITOL One of the better-studied supplements for PCOS. It may improve insulin sensitivity, which can help reduce the hormonal disruption associated with high insulin. Research suggests it may support more regular cycles and ovulation in some women with PCOS. 🧡 CoQ10 An antioxidant involved in cellular energy production. Because developing eggs require significant energy, CoQ10 has been studied for ovarian function and egg/embryo quality, particularly in fertility-treatment settings. Evidence for improving pregnancy/live-birth rates specifically in PCOS is still limited. 🌿 NAC (N-Acetyl Cysteine) NAC helps your body produce glutathione, an important antioxidant. Studies in PCOS suggest it may help with oxidative stress, insulin sensitivity and ovulation, although more research is needed. ☀️ VITAMIN D Vitamin D supports immune, bone and reproductive health. Deficiency is common among women with PCOS. Correcting a deficiency may support overall metabolic and reproductive health, but taking extra vitamin D when your levels are already adequate hasn't been proven to increase fertility. 🐟 OMEGA-3 EPA and DHA support cardiovascular health and help regulate inflammatory processes. Research in PCOS suggests omega-3 may improve triglycerides and some metabolic/inflammatory markers. These benefits may support overall reproductive health, but omega-3 isn't a direct fertility treatment. 🌱 FOLATE / FOLIC ACID Especially important when trying to conceive. Folate supports DNA synthesis and healthy cell division, while adequate folic acid before and during early pregnancy significantly reduces the risk of neural-tube defects. A prenatal containing folic acid is generally recommended before conception—ask your healthcare professional about the right dose for you. 🤍 ZINC Zinc is involved in DNA synthesis, cell division, immune function and normal reproductive function. Adequate zinc is important, but taking more than you need doesn't necessarily improve fertility. Excessive zinc can also interfere with copper absorption. ✨ VITAMIN E Vitamin E is an antioxidant that helps protect cells against oxidative damage. Oxidative stress has been studied in both PCOS and reproductive health, but evidence that vitamin E supplementation alone improves fertility outcomes in PCOS remains limited. 🧠 MAGNESIUM GLYCINATE Magnesium supports glucose metabolism, energy production, muscles and the nervous system. It may be helpful if your intake or magnesium status is low, but evidence that magnesium directly improves fertility in PCOS is limited. 💚 THE BIGGEST TAKEAWAY PCOS fertility isn't about taking every supplement you see online. The bigger goal is supporting regular ovulation, insulin sensitivity, adequate nutrition and overall metabolic health. And if you're not ovulating regularly, supplements shouldn't replace fertility assessment or treatment. PCOS-related infertility is treatable, and medications such as letrozole may be recommended for ovulation induction when appropriate. ✨ I have PCOS too, and one thing I've learned throughout my journey is to understand why I'm taking something rather than following every supplement trend. ⚠️ Educational only, not medical advice. If you're trying to conceive, always discuss supplements with your doctor, pharmacist, dietitian or fertility specialist especially because not every supplement or dose is appropriate during pregnancy. 💾 Save this for your PCOS fertility journey. #PCOS #PCOSFertility #TryingToConceive #Ovulation #PCOSAwareness
