I'm old skool and men should always pay for the first date I'm more than happy to pay for the next date (I live in London too) BUT I wouldn't expect a dinner on a first date always just drinks usually just a few sometimes even just soft drinks! unless it's going well then maybe eat but not in a fancy expensive restaurant

After six years of being single and not really wanting to date I went on eight dates recently she didn’t offer to pay for anything not parking, not a coffee not a top up on the tea at the table not a bottle of water nothing then started talking about the fact that somebody has more disposable cash than her should pay at that point I was out …. Stay single kings.

I would like women to at least offer to split on the first date, i see it more like this, youre trying to portray your est self for getting to know someone and if their best self isnt even offering on the date I feel they never will 🤷
