@bookish_zarah: Strange Weather in Tokyo is basically two lonely people, an enormous amount of sake, and food descriptions that will make you want to book a flight to Tokyo immediately. Tsukiko and Sensei don’t fall in love in some sweeping, cinematic way. They just keep showing up in the same places, eating together, drinking together, and slowly becoming important to each other. It’s a romance about companionship before it’s about love, and I found that incredibly beautiful.
