My stomach has been a mess for the last 5 weeks because of the unending paperwork (special Ed), out of control behaviors, parents who want me to do everything for their child, and lack of support from admin. I feel like I need to be hospitalized

The absolute best thing about retirement is there are no Sunday scaries. I still work as a substitute teacher but even at that there are NO Sunday scaries. The weight a classroom teacher holds no one will ever understand unless you do the job.

I feel so bad for yall tbh a lot of (but not all) kids these days have no respect. And then the teacher is expected to be some kind of wizard and “get through to them” with no back up or support.

Im a first year teacher and it honestly breaks my heart having to leave my kids because the good kids the ones who are raised right make it better, but no support from admin being treated by the head it’s so mentally exhausting…. My last day is this Friday ❤️🩹

Yeah I’ll bet. I’m almost glad I didn’t get a job at my Alma mater. Me becoming more of my mom’s caregiver along with my brothers and a full time job…was a lot. But I made a promise to my parents.
