@offenceregister: Leo Russell Jailed Over Rape And Coercive Abuse 👇 FULL CASE DETAILS BELOW 👇 Leo Russell, of Bradford, has been jailed for 29 months after being convicted of raping a young girl when they were both 14 years old. The court heard the victim's life was shattered by months of violence, coercive control, and abuse. Russell isolated her from her friends, repeatedly assaulted her, and forced her to stay on the phone to him constantly, threatening to track her down and attack her if she hung up. When she tried to speak out, Russell threatened to murder her and her family, who had previously welcomed him into their home. Russell denied the offences and forced the survivor to relive the trauma at trial, where she noted he smirked throughout proceedings without showing remorse. However, his arrogance disappeared on sentencing day as Russell wept when the reality of his prison term became clear. On 31 July at Leeds Crown Court, a judge sentenced Russell to 29 months in prison and placed him on the Sex Offenders Register for 10 years. #ukcrime #uknews #courtnews #truecrimeuk #publicsafety
