i’ve had a c section and a vaginal birth and i bled HEAVILY with both. it was 4x a normal period. also if you’re in ontario canada moms your hospital gives you NOTHING!!!!

that’s great if your hospital gives you these things but ladies do not count on your hospital giving you things, especially if you are in Canada (was given nothing in Canada). On another note, the tucks pad and Frida spray are great if you tear, and the diapers I’d still recommend, they are comfortable and not tight, loading underwear with the pads tends to be tighter. However I do agree about the Frida ice packs, I was expecting to need them but didn’t touch them. Something that helped me as well was the witch hazel bath tea bags you can get, helped with any itching and helped heal quick.

I always tell new moms you don’t have to buy postpartum things the hospital will provide so much & you can ask for more if you think you’ll need it

Thank you so much for this, I have my baby in 4 days and I’ve felt so underprepared because of everyone saying you need so many different things and I barely have anything 😅 so it’s really helpful to hear what was actually necessary

I really wish this video would’ve had a disclaimer, it seems like you didn’t tear at all and that drastically changes your experience. It’s just not responsible to say you “don’t need” things because literally ever experience is different…

fun fact the tucks pad are literally witch hazel so I use them for everything bug bites, toner pads, they are good even if you arent postpartum

I didn’t use the ice packs but I did use the witch hazel pads and the foam I put it on a pad and I didn’t have the spray though so I used what I had

I made “padsicles” when I had my first baby. I made them with big pads, witch hazel, aloe & the equate version of tucks. I used one a day until most of my postpartum swelling/irritation went away. Loved them. Cheap, easy & I just made them a week or two before I had my baby so they were ready to go in the freezer when I got home.
