African leaders have repeatedly called for Africa to have a permanent seat and a stronger voice in global decision-making. But after all these years, we are still asking for the same thing. If Africa has not yet been given the permanent seat we have been demanding, then let us not only continue asking. Let us unite. Let us strengthen our cooperation. Let us build a common African voice that cannot easily be ignored. Our ancestors and the great African leaders before us understood this vision. They spoke about African unity, solidarity and Pan-Africanism because they knew that African countries would be stronger when they stood together rather than separately. Africa has the people. Africa has the resources. Africa has the knowledge, the culture and the potential. What we need is stronger unity and the determination to pursue our common interests together. The world should not only hear Africa when Africa is asking for a seat. The world should hear Africa because Africa has become strong enough to speak with one united voice. Let Africa unite. Let Africa stand together. Let Africa speak with one voice. Let Africa build its own strength. Our predecessors gave us the vision.
