There’s something about taking photos in Norway that makes you feel like a kid again. Around every corner there’s another mountain, waterfall, fjord, tiny village, winding road, or view that makes you stop whatever you’re doing and pull out your camera. Norway is one of those places where even after days of incredible scenery, you somehow still find yourself saying, “There’s no way this is real.” As a travel photographer, that feeling is one of my favorite parts of exploring a new country. Photography gives me an excuse to slow down. Instead of simply driving through a beautiful place, I start paying attention to the way the clouds move across the mountains, the reflection of a village in a Norwegian fjord, the tiny houses sitting underneath massive cliffs, or the way the light changes as the sun gets lower. And Norway makes that really easy. Some of my favorite memories from traveling through Norway weren’t necessarily planned. They were random roadside stops, hikes that opened up to massive views, quiet moments overlooking the fjords, and places where I originally thought I’d stop for five minutes but ended up staying much longer because I wanted to photograph everything. That’s the joy of travel photography for me. It isn’t always about creating the perfect photo. Sometimes it’s simply about documenting how a place made you feel. When I look back at my photos from Norway, I don’t just see mountains and fjords. I remember the cold air, long drives through the countryside, waterfalls pouring down cliffs, hiking through the mountains, tiny coastal towns, and constantly being reminded how unbelievably big and beautiful this world is. Norway is easily one of the most beautiful countries I’ve ever photographed. From the Norwegian fjords and dramatic mountains to scenic roads, waterfalls, hiking trails, colorful villages, and seemingly endless landscapes, it feels like the entire country was designed for photographers. Traveling through Norway reminded me why I picked up a camera in the first place. There’s so much joy in finding a scene that catches your eye, framing it through a lens, pressing the shutter, and knowing you just captured a tiny piece of a moment that will never happen exactly the same way again. That sense of wonder is something I never want to lose. If you love landscape photography, travel photography, hiking, road trips, outdoor adventures, or simply exploring some of the most beautiful places in Europe, Norway deserves a spot near the top of your bucket list. I came here expecting beautiful scenery. I left with thousands of photos and an even bigger appreciation for how much beauty there is in the world. Norway, you made it very difficult to put the camera down. #norway #norway🇳🇴 #travelnorway #scandinavia #norwaynature
