please search what "negging" is, in this case it would be disguised insults framed as "sarcasm", "just joking" or "constructive criticism", if you tried to call him out on it you "need to be less serious" or "lighten up", the goal is to shift power dynamics, lower your self esteem and make you rely on him for validation. If you think I'm overreacting or something that's okay, just please think about it a little bit and how it makes you feel to be insulted when you're just trying to do something nice for him and please think of other red flags you might have ignored before
