@shandongboss001: Welcome to inspect one of our projects—and let me show you one of the most satisfying processes to watch on a construction site: laser rust removal. This is steel surface preparation being carried out at our construction site. As the laser passes across the steel surface, corrosion and certain surface contaminants are gradually removed, making the process highly visual. Today, laser cleaning can also be found in the fabrication and maintenance of structural steel, oil tanks, fixed roof tanks, floating roof tanks, and other steel equipment. However, there is one common misunderstanding: laser cleaning is advanced technology, but that does not mean it can completely replace abrasive blasting or shot blasting. Each method has its own suitable applications. Laser cleaning can offer advantages for localized treatment, maintenance, and certain environments where dust and abrasive media need to be controlled. For large structural steel components, extensive steel surfaces, and large storage tanks, abrasive blasting and shot blasting remain important industrial surface-preparation methods. Especially when structural steel or storage tanks will receive protective coating systems, surface preparation is not simply about removing visible rust. The required surface cleanliness and surface profile must also be achieved according to the coating system and project specifications, providing a suitable substrate for subsequent corrosion protection. There is rarely one process that solves every engineering problem. Advanced technology does not need to replace every traditional process. What really matters is using the right method in the right application. #LaserRustRemoval #SteelStructure #TankConstruction #FixedRoofTank #floatingrooftank
