*The Virtue of Reading the Quran and Rewards (Hasanat). Reading the Quran is one of the greatest acts of worship by which a servant draws closer to Allah. 1. For every letter, a good deed: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: > "Whoever reads a letter from the Book of Allah will have a good deed, and a good deed is multiplied ten times. I do not say that (Alif Lam Mim) is one letter, but Alif is a letter, Lam is a letter, and Mim is a letter." - Narrated by al-Tirmidhi Imagine one page has more than 500 letters, that means more than 5,000 hasanat! 2.It will intercede for you on the Day of Judgment: > Read the Quran, for it will come on the Day of Resurrection as an intercessor for its companions. Narrated by Muslim 3.It raises your rank in Paradise:* The more you read and ascend, the higher your status becomes. It will be said to the reciter of the Quran: Read, ascend, and recite as you used to recite in this world. 4. It brings peace to your heart and removes your worries:* Allah says: *{Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest} [13:28]* 5. Even if you struggle while reading, you get double reward:* If your reading is difficult and you struggle, you get two rewards. The Prophet ﷺ said: "And the one who reads the Quran and stammers in it, and it is difficult for him, will have two rewards." A simple tip to start: Don't say "I will read a whole Juz" and then quit. Start with one page after each prayer, that means 5 pages a day = you finish the whole Quran in about 4 months easily. The most important thing is consistency, not quantity.
