I love reading about capable people, especially women, save themselves. They aren't damisles in distress who need a knight in shining armor. Romance can be there, but it's not the sickly hero type.

When the wheel hit rags to riches, before you even started explaining, I was thinking “Well JC has more of a rags to stable story, and Khana is kind of a reverse rags to riches.” Was then very satisfied when you said the same things.
