Hey! My dad had renal cancer, he has his left one removed and it caused his other kidney to shutdown to 30 %, he visits his nephrologist every 6 months and he has to have scans yearly now just for surveillance. He has to get fluids before and after any scans that requires contrast. He’s 68 years old and is a personal trainer at a gym. He’s has stayed that way for 22 years! I’m not sure what your case is but just know you’re not alone.

I had a partial nephrectomy in 24, I also had cancer in my removed half. I eat 30 grams or less of protein.what does the urologist say?and have you talked to a nephrologist dietitian?

My husband has ESRD. Watch potassium and phosphorus. He is actually limited to amount a fluid he can drink.

My son had ESRD with dialysis due to an acute injury but even as he is several years out - one thing is not to drink brown sodas at all due to the high phosphorus that affects kidney health. Also at U of M for it. You got this! ❤️
