@quickmechtools: Works pretty well. Feels very solidly built, but unfortunately the angle that the cutting blade sits at means there's a lot of tear out. Yes it's going to give you the dowel of the size you want but it's going to be real real rough. You'll probably have to sand another 16th of an inch off of it to get it close to usable.
