this is such an interesting take to me because it is literally handed to u on a silver platter that rhinedottir is a direct descendant of the tsarista and goes as far as to address her as 'mother'. no, i don't think it's homophobic for people to think it's weird. because it is. it's weird. this question of "how far removed must u be from the relative before incest is ok" is soooo boring and stupid. they're related and that should be enough for you to step off shipping them 😭

one thing I really don't get is when people say the Tsaritsa shouldn't be shipped with anyone because she had a husband and a child... because shipping something doesn't mean it's going to become canon, right? I mean, I don't ship Rhinedottir or any character with her, but I still find the argument absurd. It's fine if someone doesn't ship the Tsaritsa because she was married, but I don't understand why some people care so much if someone else does

For me it’s the fact that their relation is acknowledged. Like if my great grandmother X50 were immortal it would be fairly weird to get with her. You also have to imagine that Tsaritsa kinda sees all Khanreans as her direct descendants

I like queer people a lot (I am one) but I just thought the ship was a little weird since Rhinedottir sort of aknowledges the Tsaritsa as the “mother of Khaenria” but honestly, I’m just gonna wait and see if Genshin ever talks about this again before going around and saying “DONT SHIP THIS” … also, I know that the dna is not a problem, since they’re so distantly related…

I'm sorry I am a lore player. of course I care about it. do you realize how big of a lore drop that was along with the fact that it was revealed that the the third descender and her were the progenitors of the Khaenri'ans and are possibly why they have the power to see the truths of the world because they have the blood of the third descender in them. I recommend you never try to say that we don't care about something unless you know lore players because lore players are freaking out over this
