@diogo.jared: I’m not proud of the person I was for most of my life. I always needed to be right. I always needed to win an argument. I always wanted to win… at everything. I was selfish, narcissistic, toxic. I destroyed relationships, friendships, and so many things that I would give anything to be able to do differently today. For the past 2 or 3 years, I’ve been doing a huge amount of inner work to try to become a better person. Someone who, when I’m old and looking back on my life, can say, “I think I was a good person.” I can’t say that yet. I’m nowhere near being able to say that. But I’ve been trying. Every single day. And maybe that’s what matters most to me now… not pretending I’ve already figured it all out, but continuing to try. On social media, everyone seems to be the good guy. The example. The self-improvement guru. The mindset coach. I’m not that person. I don’t have all the answers. I don’t have a formula for life. And I’m not here to teach anyone how to become a better person. I’m just trying to become someone I can be proud of. And maybe becoming a better person starts with something very simple… Being able to admit when you’re wrong. Being able to recognize when your actions aren’t right. Being honest enough to look at yourself and say, “I need to change.” I’m not where I want to be yet.
