@ocean.ramsey: ✨Remember your potential self is infinite✨ For each new year I like to identify a new challenge for myself in different areas of my life. Do you do this? Comment below I would love to read other people’s personal challenges for themselves for the new year 🦈❤️Although diving with the sharks is my comfortable place, I constantly challenge myself to LEARN by always looking for new behaviors, this helps to keep me mentally stimulated and forever fascinated 😍 and also helps me to be safer because I am always looking and anticipating the “unexpected.” Sharks are still my “comfort zone”…but being cold…not my comfort zone 🥶😞 even in the warm waters of my home Hawaii water I don’t last more than 5-20 min max in a bikini/not in a wetsuit so this is one of my personal challenges, to push my cold tolerance and I’ve found an extra intense challenge to put myself through in the new year that I’m looking forward to for the mental challenge of staying calm in the pain as much as the physical challenge. 🦈➡️ I know a lot of people have previously held beliefs about the behavior of sharks, based on very little information and usually not from personal experience, so I really REALLY admire the many people I’ve met this past week who were going out on the boat @oneoceandiving because they were scared of sharks, so they were purposely pushing themselves to participate in the program to learn more, challenge those previously held beliefs, and overcome their fear by replacing it with knowledge and real experience.
