Let’s get this straight, in as much as you are preaching for the right thing to be done, make sure you are doing the right thing yourself. Don’t get me wrong, I deeply understand your pain, but you see, if you are giving a bike that has been slightly used for work, you need put into writing, if possible make a video recording of the state of the bike before handing it over. You can see he was asking you for evidence. With that being said, it’s also important to note that the fact that the bike is being used for work, it will not by magic or any other means still remain new after some time of use. But if it’s some ridiculous kind of damage and you have evidence to it, you make the person pay for it. And with videoing him without his consent, he’s right on that. The fact that someone is working for you doesn’t mean you have every right to do anything you want with him at any time anywhere.
