@tarnishedpeace: This scene is still so important imo #denji #makima #chainsawman #manga #anime

Druif :

The crazy fact that although makima was evil and manipulative and some might say even extremely selfish she only did everything just to hopefully try have feelings . she cried in this scene due to the movie showing deep embrace and human connection which reflected on her own tragic unfulfilled desire for an equal loving relationship. As makimas the control devil she can only form relationships through hierarchy , fear and control never allowing her to feel the true embrace of love and never experiencing genuiene unconditional affection . Seeing the scene was almost like her being shown what she cant and will never have although thats what she truely wanted which is why she tried to take denji . It was thought before that it was a tactic to manipulate denji even more but ( the narrative ) pochita later explained that her deepest underlying wish was to simply be hugged and understood as an equal. When you take all that into what she did you understand that at a point she just gave up as she could never be normal like others which puts a completely different view on her rather than being evil she was just broken and sad that she cant be human and that her life was fated from the very moment she was “born”
