Zohrans approval rating is around 50% among new Yorkers. Eric adams had about a 30% approval rating at the end of his mayoral run for comparison. So to your first question: Yes, lots of new Yorkers like him. Mamdani took office in January. Obviously he didn't fulfill all of his campaign promises before his first year is even up, what a ridiculous standard. Furthermore, it's obvious that he's trying to get those things accomplished and he's already had some gains as people in your comment section have pointed out. The mayor doesn't have unilateral control over NYC, he needs approval from lots of political bodies, especially the governor. Him fighting for his campaign promises is what matters, and he's absolutely doing that
