@munchinwithmel: Obviously, everyone has different tastes. Sometimes there are viral foods in London that people say are overhyped that I personally really enjoyed. And vice versa, there are foods in London that I don’t think are worth the hype that other people love😅 But unpopular opinion, but just because of food goes viral doesn’t mean it’s good… So here are four desserts that I PERSONALLY would not buy again in London. First was the croissant pudding from Little pudding. I was actually quite disappointed to see that the croissant pudding only comes in one flavour which is milk chocolate chip whereas the doughnut pudding comes in three different flavours! I thought the croissant pudding was nice, I’m glad I got ice cream even though I had to pay £1 extra for it because it contrasted nicely with the warm pudding but overall, I don’t think this was amazing. It was pretty mundane and for £7.95. I think it’s incredibly steep for what it is. Another viral dessert I don’t think is worth the hype is any of the desserts from Swiss butter. The pain perdu has a very strange gummy texture to it and the molten chocolate cake is very basic. They’re obviously very huge portion sizes which kind of makes the £9.50 worth it but honestly, I would not get any of these desserts again. Third overhyped viral desert in London is the Dubai chocolate bun from Buns From Home. I LOVE everything that Buns from Home do… except this. It just tasted like a creamy mess with a hint of pistachio Fourth and finally is the kinako French toast with Matcha soft serve from Bone Daddies. Wasn’t a big fan of the Kinako and I don’t think it went very well with the Matcha. The French toast itself was quite dry as well, it would not survive without the ice cream.
