I’m not a boat guy so I wouldn’t know, but why do they set them up with all the different types of voltage to run everything? Is DC voltage the same as AC in terms of you’d be able to use smaller gauge wire as the voltage increases to run the motors that the 32 volt system is running? I’ve been really enjoying watching your journey!

I thought we can only have four batteries hook, cause the BMS. It doesn’t like to communicate to its neighbors but yeah, it’s pretty bad ass. I’m gonna be setting mine up freightliner Cascadia not quite as big, but it’s gonna run for days before I have to charge it with a generator

Friends
Our skipper was talking about the bow thruster and windlass. He will hit the thruster using a joystick at the helm. It helps A LOT in close quarters / marinas. The windlass is a thirsty boy. Our skipper may put out a couple hundred feet of 3/8 chain and an anchor. Maybe 2 in bad weather. And it all has to come back aboard. Having the batteries up forward helps reduce line loss of electricity. Our skipper really knew what he wanted when he bought this boat. the electrical is just over the top!! It's not all that complicated when you look at each individual system. The way it is all integrated is mind boggling. This is not your dad's 16 foot SeaRay!!!
😁😁😁😁😁
A real Beauty!!
Cheers!

I’ll tell ya, iv seen those cheap plastic Amazon battery disconnect switches cause all kinds of problems too. They can’t carry enough current thru em to get a piss ants go-kart two laps around a cheerio. (It looks like that’s what’s under the quattro 5,000). Anytime I see those I rip em out and replace them with the aluminum housing ones and if at all possible, the ones you buy from CAT seem to be the best.

Used to have a 4020 JD that was 24v, that thing was a pain in the butt until I switched it over to 12v. Seemed like every time I went to use, it would have bad battery
