@earthpix: @aleksandernordahl captured Hvaldimir, the famous beluga whale, up close. 🐋 In 2019, fisherman Joar Hesten found Hvaldimir wearing a tight harness off the coast of northern Norway and jumped into the freezing water to free him. The beluga later travelled along the Norwegian coast for nearly five years and became known around the world as the “spy whale.” Unfortunately, Hvaldimir was found dead near Stavanger in August 2024.
