please dont do that. that is not the issue. ur never supposed to move that. it will only cause the gear inside to bind. its not meant to be adjusted

I would also check out the inner steering shaft inside of the cab it has a bushing inside

Get a good quality six point socket or wrench for the super hard to break bolts/nuts. 12 points are nice for angular flexibility but on hard to move, possibly already partly rounded bolts, they'll more often slip and cause further damage to the fastener, or your knuckles, or both.
