I would much rather have our soldiers in Greenland and Denmark than knowing that Russia or China controls those locations. Same thing with Cuba. It's just a national security issue. I don't hate Russia or China but I personally feel more safe knowing we don't have to worry about them being close enough to strike us before we could prepare. I wouldn't put it past Canada to side with Russia or China.
