Instead of mechanically turning the window regulator, moving the crank operates an electrical switch that raises or lowers the glass. The conversion uses a 12-volt power-window kit to provide the force previously supplied by the driver’s hand. The modified crank acts as the control input, sending power to the electric motor in one direction to raise the window and reversing the motor to lower it. Conversions like this add powered operation while preserving much of the appearance of an older manual-window interior. By integrating the electrical control into the original crank location, the modification avoids adding a conventional power-window switch to the door panel. No copyright infringement intended.
