And to me, they’re the worst hospital I was an extreme pain from my fingertips behind my shoulder blade all the way up to my neck. The pain was so bad it was like being in labor, having a toothache and having a muscle spasm along with the Charlie horse, all at the same time, I was in tears. I just moved here so I knew nothing about that hospital. When I got in there, the nurse I got was so mean she kept saying we don’t give out painkillers. I told her good because I don’t take any. Please help me she turned around and said well I don’t know how we’re gonna help you cause we don’t do CT scans the next thing you know they said nothing was wrong with me and sent me home even without an x-ray, I sat at home for two weeks in excruciating pain until I couldn’t take it anymore. I called 911 begged them to take me to a different hospital. I got into East Jefferson within 45 minutes. I was admitted and sent upstairs for emergency surgery I had two herniated disc in my neck. Ochsner didn’t do anything. They thought I was there for pills pills I’ve never taken in my life. All because I came in crying in pain, they thought it was fake and it was not.. I got 5500 from their negligence.

The best doctors, nurses, surgeons are here, some helped save my life. Shout out the Dr. Jones, Miss. Lafont, Dr. Farge and Dr Gillespie. Even when it was not okay you made me feel safe.

Listen, my daughter was with ochsner from her NICU days at Ochsner Baptist to her specialty docs at main campus and BR. The staff is AMAZING AND quick when things are urgent! Never had a problem 3 years, very thorough. My daughter needed a procedure at LCMC 2 months ago…. It’s a complete 180 with them! I had never experienced anything like it. No sense of urgency, act like they didn’t care…. From the ER to the floor. The experience was HORRIBLE. Ochsner gets all 5 stars with me. I had to complain to patient experience at LCMC (mannings childrens) every day it was something different! (Doctors with LCMC were exceptional….nurses not so much, there were about 2 that were great). She was severely dehydrated post surgery, ended up fainting. We were waiting and waiting in ER like she wasn’t important and she was clearly in distress. Ended up staying inpatient 3 nights due to severe dehydration. If she ever needs emergency care…. I will pass up a LCMC hospital until I can get to an Ochsner one.
