I have a pool and I'll tell you for 100% fact that yes chlorine absolutely has a smell... Try opening a new tub to chlorine picks or a bag of chlorine granules. the smell will knock you on you ass.

I don’t do pools a good buddy of mine used to work for pool company. She had to literally go under and clean it and the shit that she said came from under the pool. I never got the pool. It’s been over 20 years. I’ve been in the pool, but when I go back home to Africa, always go to ocean

chlorine is NOT odorless. as someone who has an EXTREMELY sensitive sense of smell that was made worse when I get my period/pregnant and now in Perimenopause...chlorine HAS a smell.

I dove into a pool when I was around 8-9 years old and ended up going to the hospital, they did an X-Ray and my a neck bone had popped out of place and the doctor told my dad I could end up paraylzed. He was able to safely do a procedure and get it back into place and I only had to wear a neck brace for a while after but other than that I ended up getting to go about my life normally. Its scary to think how much different my life could have been because of one simple moment when I was a kid and dove into a pool. I am thankful to the doctor who was able to do the procedure safely and thankful to God every day.
