My unpopular opinion is that Futurama is far more interesting than the Simpsons, but the reason is The Simpsons is so loved as it is a lazy watch. You don't have to think too hard watching it whereas Futurama had more in depth and less no-plot silly episodes

My hot take: If Moral Orel had gotten another season, I think it would have either won an Emmy, caused a congressional hearing about broadcast standards, or both. The last season had some of the most messed up and viscerally uncomfortable moments of anything I've ever seen and is arguably a great depiction of the parts of mental illness that we rarely see in media.

Unpopular opinion: I think people complaining about shows having bad animation is valid unless it's the style that compliments the show (and tbh I don't care if it has bad animation or good animation I love animation in general especially if it has insanely good writing like home movies)

For me American Dad and Family guy should change titles. Stan is much more a Family guy than Peter is and will ever be. Peter is more of a typical American dad these days rather than a Family guy. He doesn’t put his family first enough to be a family guy.

steven universe is one of those shows that exists in a weird place criticism-wise, because there was so much bad-faith + homophobic criticism of the show that any valid criticism it receives immediately gets shut down, which is disappointing because those valid criticisms always lead to the best discussions
